Our Cocoome Organic Sleepwear Spring Summer 1213 collection has arrived.

We are very excited for the launch of our first summer collection. Our summer prints are timeless and perfect for the summer season of warm nights. This season we also introduce our baby wraps, perfect for swaddling baby at night or the typical 101 uses that we always use baby wraps for !

Our summer pyjama sets are perfect for this time of year with a comfortable t shirt and shorts set. The girls set feature herringbone cord for a girly look whilst the boys shorts are super comfortable for little boys having a good night’s sleep.

When developing and designing our sleepwear we always knew we wanted our brand to be fair trade and organic. Being an organic sleepwear label for children was very importnant to us as we knew it would also be with other parents from home in Australia to around the world. This is why Cocoome Organic pjs is proud to be 100% organic cotton.

Organic cotton is more absorbent, the fabric lasts longer, there are no chemicals used in the growth and harvest of the cotton so it’s softer and safer for your baby or child and the environment.

Of the world’s cultivated land, 2.5 per cent is given over to cotton, yet it consumes 20 percent of the insecticides used. For every kilo of raw cotton (enough for a couple of t shirts) the plant uses a kilo of synthetic nitrogen fertilizer, which produces N20, a greenhouse gas 300 times more potent than carbon dioxide. So do you still want to have your kids sleeping in standard cotton? I think we all know the answer to that.

Organic cotton production is free of these chemicals and is the safer option for the sleepwear that our children wear to bed.

The production of cotton has a huge impact on the world we live in and the world that we will leave to our children and grandchildren. By insisting on organic cotton and paying for garments that are fair trade you can change the world from the farmers to the environment and make it a better and safer place for all.
